Today I recommend: Prince in Disguise by Stephanie Kate Strohm.

Tomboy Dylan, sixteen, meets the boy of her dreams when she is forced to play maid of honor to her beauty queen sister, who is marrying Scottish royalty on a reality television show.

This is a lighthearted and quick read – perfect for anyone who is looking for an humorous romance book. Dylan is a strong lead -grappling with feeling inferior to her popular and pretty sister- who finds a way to be herself and accept her sister the way that she is. So even though this is a romance it also focuses on friendships between sisters, daughters and mothers, and best friends. The use of some heavy literary quotes and some Scottish and British slang distract a little from the story but also help cement the setting of the plot and the quirks of Dylan’s potential boyfriend, Jamie. I recommend this to anyone who liked Geekerella by Ashley Poston, Once and For All by Sarah Dessen, or Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.

You can find this book in the Young Adult section at YA STROHM.
